This is Napa Valley’s red wine king as it accounts for 55% of the crop value and 40% of the total production. Eventhough we can find it throughout the Valley, the taste of the different Cabernet Sauvignon can vary depending on where it is grown.
Usually, we can sense a wide variety of black fruits in the flavors as well as plum, cherry and currant. It often displays notes of spice from oak aging.
While young they match well with strong red meat like braised lamb or game. While older, it goes well with aged cheese and simply prepared roasts.
